Justin Wilson, Owner & Founder

Justin Wilson has spent more than 20 years in the insurance industry. He has been nominated four times as a Top 25 commercial insurance agent in the nation and three times for the Top 5. He attended Columbus State University on a full basketball scholarship and graduated in 2006 with two bachelor's degrees, Business Marketing and Business Management, plus a minor in Business Law. Wilson Insurance is an office that specializes in commercial insurance, and Mr. Wilson takes pride in educating every staff member on commercial trucking: not just the policies, but how a trucking company actually operates and what it needs from its agency to be successful. Clients know him simply as Mr. Wilson.

Justin started as a State Farm sales rep in 2006, then opened his own State Farm agency and ran it from 2009 to 2015. In 2016 he walked away from the captive model to open Wilson Insurance & Investment Group for one reason: more options for his customers. One company's rate is a quote. In 2013 Justin opened Wilson Trucking and ran it alongside the agency until he sold it in 2022. At the sale the fleet was 24 semis: 20 pulling refrigerated trailers and 4 running RGN and lowboy trailers for heavy haul. He has sat on both sides of the desk, as the carrier buying the policy and the agent writing it, which is why clients get straight answers about what a broker packet really needs.
